I'd forgotten about those Simon. How could I have overlooked the Winner?

It's the tone that feels different now. To me, all too often ingratiating rather than subversive.

It is true they're getting wittier and wittier with their come backs. They're also getting political, like the way Oreo did the whole rainbow Oreo to show their support for LGBT Rights. Advertisements are doing a lot more then just showing the product.

I also thought the 'Ship Happens' that KMart came up with is rather clever.

The most recent Go Compare ads are a positive example of that. The Stephen Merchant Barclay's ads are another one. But it's long been a comedic trope in advertising, from Michael Winner's "calm down dear, it's a commercial" back to Vic and Bob's "Cadbury's Boost: slightly rippled with a flat underside" in the early 90s and I'm sure many before that. But yes where it used to be subversive it's now part of the wallpaper.

Good build Gemma

Telephone screening would be essential

I'd be wary of using something like this for anything more than a pilot right now

That said, it's chipping away at the recruiter's role

In 10 years time we may all be relying more on decentralised ad hoc help for tasks generally - MR could piggyback this trend

I agree...to an extent. I don't think the internet could replace the 'human filtering' I'd expect from (good) recruiters to recruit respondents who were confident enough to contribute in a group setting and didn't have terrible BO / swear ten times a minute etc.

I also run client/agency/respondent workshops where I need articulate individuals who are confident enough not to wilt into the background in that kind of environment and you can't filter that online - perhaps unless you used Skype?

I am intrigued by Matt's book. I met one of the authors of another excellent book on CX, Jeofrey Bean (the co-author is Sean Van Tyne). I do not think Jeof drives a Porsche of any color. Great post. Love the Leica video. They had me at the white gloves, but the clicks of the lens pushed it over the top.
